Thursday 22nd found everyone hoping we could go back out to sea. But nature had other plans, with a cloudy day and a nice but somewhat cold morning. Lars Løvlie of FFI, Norway spent the entire day working with Ze and Frederick on getting a deeper perspective on T-REX. Others were busy building the drifters to be deployed just before we headed out on Saturday and Kanna was in a videoconference back to the US all afternoon. The others, looking at the dull cloudy day, stayed indoors and worked or surfed the web.

However normal it sounded, all of us kept consulting remote sensing and weather sites to see if there was even a hope of going out on Friday, especially in the morning. Different web sites provided varying levels and quality of information, till Joel found and showed us the Faro airport weather station data, one pilots relied on. We had also forgotten that the WaveGlider out at sea, had a weather station. The two sources together made it obvious that our hopes were to be dashed. 

The day ended in a somber note, but of course, a meal together at St. Luzia just outside Tavira.
